my Mandala _ drawn some years ago

I am a student in the Iokai-Shiatsu school since sept 2014, as well as a student in the life-journey.

In shiatsu the saying goes that you have never finished learning, the same goes for me with the life-journey. I have met quite some challenges along the way, although some could be very hard at times proved to be useful learning experiences, leading me to appreciate the potential for humanity in fellow wanderers on this beautiful planet even more. ( Maybe this TED talk by Brene Brown on vulnerability, might interest you too https://www.ted.com/talks/brene_brown_on_vulnerability? )

I am deeply grateful to those fellow wanderers, who helped to navigate through the fogs of some of my darkest hours; some by having sowed their unconditional love in my heart when I was a child, some were professionals with trainings based on western scientific standards ( medical and psychological) others solicited more my creative expression or my longing for connecting again to « which is behind all » (a bit like the Self in C.G. Jung’s work but there is more to it), common to all of them was a free, trusting and encouraging mindset and an open heart …

My path took me trough a job in banking, to psychology studies and working in psycho-social contexts. This suited me very well, as I used to be a very mental (rational, head-centered person) with my sensitivity serving me to understand the person I was listening to and talking with, as well as to guide the group I was leading as a trainer.

There was however for me a missing part in the puzzle, the direct work with the body, which falls short in those approaches. So finally in sept. 2014, I registered for the Basic-course (level 1) of the Iokai Shiatsu-school by Adela C.Garay.

And now, time has come to put into practice

– « Le chemin se construit en marchant » –

« Der Weg ist das Ziel » –

« The path unfolds when you take the steps » –

I wish to contribute by Shiatsu or other methods to the growth of other fellow wanderers who honor me with their trust, by inspiring and encouraging them to take the next steps on their path on this beautiful planet.

If this talks to you and you feel my approach of Shiatsu or other methods could benefit your life-journey, please feel free to use this opportunity to contact me (the form is below).

Some songs that resonate with me

Nothing Else Matters by Metallica (this song is not in heavy metal style)

« Life is ours, we live it our way »

and then also

An Englishman in NewYork by Sting

« Be yourself no matter what they say »

and also Jacques Brel: Quand on n’a que l’amour

« Alors sans avoir rien
Que la force d’aimer
Nous aurons dans nos mains
Amis le monde entier »

Yes, I know some people won’t listen to Jacques Brel, so here is a link to the text of « Quand on n’a que l’amour.« http://paroles2chansons.lemonde.fr/paroles-jacques-brel/paroles-quand-on-n-a-que-l-amour.html
